Location of tactile arrow can be important. In this photo, the pushbutton is a large distance away from the crosswalk that is straight ahead. A blind pedestrian using the tactile arrow for alignment would probably cross outside the crosswalk. Also, notice that there are two pushbuttons on the pole. A person crossing the street to the right of the photo would have to use a pushbutton that is set very far back from the curb, probably 20-25 feet.
