Leading protected left turn or turns can be mistaken for the sound of traffic surging on the parallel street possibly leading to a mistake by a pedestrian who is blind In fact, they would be in conflict with the left turning vehicles that have a protected arrow and are not expecting pedestrians in the crosswalk. Three points are given for leading protected left turns on street parallel to the crossing; that would be for either direction, if there are only protected turns in one direction, since it's the confusing sound cues that are the issue, not just the potential crash or conflict.
