When braille is installed on the APS, the braille is supposed to indicate the name of the street controlled by the pushbutton. Generally, the braille is embossed on the sign that comes with the APS which includes an arrow, and the installation direction of the faceplate cannot be changed once the braille is added. Grade 2 Braille, which is a type of braille using contractions for many words, is recommended. Before ordering braille signs for the faceplate, determine the location of the pole and the side of the pole that the APS will be mounted on. Manufacturer probably needs to know that information before adding the braille.
